Dance With Me:

This class is for ages 18 months to 2 years. This class allows parent/guardian to attend an introductory class to music and movement with their child.

Ballet Beginnings

This class is for ages 2.5 years-3.5 years. This class allows an introduction to independence and an introductory class to music and movement.

Tiny Toes and Tappers:

This ballet class is for ages 4-5. This class is an introduction to movement and will learn simple instructions along with dance fundamentals.

Beginner:

This ballet class is for ages 6-7. In the Beginner class your child will learn the basics of dance and a vast knowledge of dance terms.

Beginner II:

This class is for ages 8-10. Your child will be able to learn simple dance combinations along with discipline of feet work.

Intermediate or TWEEN Classes:

This ballet class is for ages 9 -12. Each dancer will enhance their technique and will learn advance combinations and barre etiquette. Will begin lessons on turns and leaps.

Intermediate II or TEEN Classes:

This ballet class is for ages 13 YEARS and up. Each dancer will enhance their technique and will learn advance combinations and barre etiquette. At this age we will challenge each dancer to perform their best with intricate combinations and routines. Their turns and leaps will have been mastered.

Pre-Pointe:

This class begins at age 11 years old and is an introductory to pointe. Dancers will learn the basics and fundamentals of ankle and feet exercises to strengthen their muscles.

Advance Pointe:

This class is by invite only.

 

Tuition:

There is a Family Registration Fee of $35. This non-refundable fee will guarantee your spot in class and is due at the time of registration. Tuition is based off how many classes your child is in and due at the first of each month.

$35 for 30 minute classes
$50 for 45 minute classes
$60 for 1 hour classes

Dress Code:

Ballet: Any style and color leotard, skirt and tights are allowed. Pink ballet shoes must be worn.

Tap: Any style and color leotard, skirt and tights are allowed. Black tap shoes must be worn. Ages 3-8 must have the black mary-jane style shoes. Ages 9 and up must have black tie tap shoes.

Jazz: Any style and color leotard, skirt and tights are allowed. Tan jazz boots must be worn.

Pointe: Any style and color leotard, skirt and tights are allowed. Pink pointe shoes must be worn and properly fitted. For fittings, please call to make an appointment with Tutus and Dance Shoes.

Contemporary: Any style and color leotard, skirt and tights are allowed. Foot covers must be worn.

Hip-Hop: Any clothing style, NO STREET CLOTHING, is allowed. Black converse shoes are required.

Acro: Any style leotard.

Recital & Costume:

At the end of each dance season Southern Dance Company will host a recital for all dancers to perform in. Dates and times of recital practice and recital day will be given out closer to recital time. Costumes cost $85 each and all payments must be processed before orders. Late payments delays your dancer’s recital costume and not guaranteed for recital time.
