Ashley began dancing at the age of seven and quickly developed a lifelong love for the art of dance. Throughout her training, she studied ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, pointe, modern, hip hop, and contemporary, with pointe remaining her favorite style. She also spent many years as a competitive dancer, earning numerous high awards across a variety of styles.

Ashley credits much of her love and appreciation for dance to her own dance teacher, Stephanie Duncan, who not only helped shape her as a dancer but also inspired her passion for teaching and sharing dance with others.

With more than 20 years of teaching experience, Ashley has had the opportunity to teach dancers of all ages throughout the CSRA. Her greatest passion is creating a place where dancers can grow in their technique, build confidence, make lasting memories, and develop a genuine love for dance. That passion ultimately led her to Southern Dance Company, where she is grateful to continue sharing the joy of dance with the next generation.

Outside of the studio, Ashley loves spending time with her husband, Dustin, and their three children. She enjoys being outdoors, reading a good book, spending time with family, and making memories with the people she loves most.

Jasmine is a self taught dancer who practiced pirouettes in her living room until she spun a hole in the carpet! Her mother soon enrolled her into Summerlin Dance Academy in Las Vegas, Nevada at the age of 9 where she discovered her true passion for dance. After moving away from her hometown, she immediately continued to fan the flames of her passion at Kane and Co. Dance Productions, where she trained for 7 years. Jasmine spent 4 of these years in competitive dance where she discovered her love for performing on stage. At 17, she founded and coached her own high school dance team. Jasmine is a widely experienced choreographer trained in contemporary, hip hop, jazz and ballet.

Jasmine’s goal as a choreography is to instill confidence in her students and pass her love for dance onto them while encouraging them to explore their versatility and creativity.

Hi! I’m Ciera! I’ve been part of the Southern Dance Company family for over five years and primarily teach our elementary-level dancers. I love creating a fun, positive environment where my students can build confidence, grow their skills, and discover their love for dance.

Outside of the studio, I enjoy staying active, spending time with friends and family, traveling, and trying new things. I’m always up for a new adventure and love finding new ways to grow, make memories, and have fun along the way. I’m so grateful to be part of SDC and to share my love of dance with our students!

Hi! I’m Kirsten Childs, and I’m currently a junior in high school. I’m a cheerleader, and I also teach the acro class, which is something I really enjoy! Outside of school and cheer, I love spending time with my friends and family, going to the beach, and just having fun and making memories. I’m super excited to be part of SDC!

Addison started dancing at age 4 with just tap and ballet at Stephanie’s Dancers where she danced for 5 years before switching to SDC. She now is in her 11th year of dance and trained in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, and pointe along with being on the Apprentice Competition Team! She is currently in 9th grade at Harlem High School. Addison loves being able to teach kids about her passion in hopes they love it just as much as she does!
